The Art Galaxy is one artist, one studio, in Tilhari, Jabalpur. Every varmala, every baby frame, every nameplate that leaves this studio was poured, sanded and finished by Shilpa herself — never outsourced, never batch-produced.
She trained formally in art before resin ever entered the picture, completing a GD Art qualification in 2002 and winning at state-level art competition. Resin came later, and it stuck for one reason: it was the first medium that let her keep something for a family rather than simply make something new for them.
It started with someone else's flowers
The first varmala Shilpa preserved was not a commission. A friend's wedding garland was drying out on a shelf, going brown at the edges, and the family could not bring themselves to throw it away — but they also could not stop it fading. That piece took weeks of trial and error, several failed pours, and one very patient friend.
What came back from it was the thing that has shaped every order since: people do not want resin art. They want the specific object they already own to stop disappearing. The resin is only the method.
That framing is why The Art Galaxy takes work other studios turn away — Bhabhut (temple ash) from Amarnath, a hospital band from a NICU stay, a collar from a dog who died last winter, a shloka written in a grandfather's handwriting. Small, unglamorous, irreplaceable things.

Your item is photographed on arrival
The moment your parcel is opened, we photograph the contents and send them to you on WhatsApp. You know your item arrived, and in what condition, the same day.
Nothing is outsourced
Drying, setting, pouring, sanding and framing all happen in the Tilhari studio. Your flowers are never handed to a third party or a production unit.
You see proof before final payment
Real photographs and video of the finished piece go to you before the balance is settled and before it is packed for dispatch.
The price is agreed, not quoted at you
Every figure is confirmed together on WhatsApp after we see the item's size and condition. No work begins before you approve it.

Material quality
We don't compromise on the quality of materials used — genuine teak wood frames, premium crystal-clear epoxy resin, and carefully sourced raw materials throughout. This is why our pricing sits a little higher than others — the difference shows in how the piece looks and lasts for years, not just on day one.
Handmade process
Every piece is 100% handmade — not machine-finished. This means small, natural variations may appear on the final piece (a tiny bubble, a slight texture difference), which is part of genuine handcrafted work, not a defect. If you're looking for machine-perfect uniformity, handmade resin art won't give you that — but it gives you something machine production can't: a piece made specifically for you, by hand.

She also teaches it
Alongside commissions, Shilpa runs resin art workshops in Jabalpur and online classes for students across India. Some are hobbyists. A number have gone on to run their own small resin businesses — several of the testimonials on this site come from students rather than customers.

Who actually makes the piece I order?
Shilpa Amit Shrivastava makes every piece herself in the Tilhari studio in Jabalpur. The work is not outsourced to a workshop or a production unit at any stage.
Is The Art Galaxy a registered business?
Yes. The Art Galaxy is registered with MSME / Udyam, and is a CAIT member with listings on Justdial, IndiaMART and Sulekha.
Can I visit the studio in Jabalpur?
Yes, by appointment. The studio is in Tilhari, Jabalpur (MP) 482020 and is open Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM. Message on WhatsApp first so Shilpa can keep the time free for you.
How long has she been working with resin?
Shilpa has been working in art since her GD Art qualification in 2002 and has specialised in resin preservation work for several years, completing hundreds of wedding, baby and memorial commissions.
Does she teach resin art?
